Typographic Conversation

November 15, 2011

Text heavy spreads are a challenging and frequently existing design need. Hierarchy is key, with flow and composition following close behind. Adobe InDesign is an excellent program for publication design, and it was used to create the spreads seen here. The text is an excerpt from the movie “500 Days of Summer”. The minimum requirements were a conversation between at least three people and enough text to fill up at least 60% of the space on each spread. No more than three type families could be used. Additionally, folios and pull quotes needed to be creatively addressed.
